The Lector Ministry proclaims the Readings and the Prayers of the Faithful at weekend Masses. Lectors help the congregation hear and reflect on God’s Word by delivering the Scripture with clarity, reverence, and understanding.

What We Do
- Serve once a month, choosing a Mass according to your preference
- Practice assigned reading on your own ahead of time
- Attend a brief annual training meeting held just before Advent, where the group reviews procedures and receives the Lector Workbook for the coming year

You will receive a Lector Workbook that guides you through each reading - including pronunciation help, emphasis, intonation, and a brief summary - so you can prepare with confidence. It’s a simple yet powerful way to contribute to the liturgical life of the parish.
