Youth Ministry Re-Launches Summer Mission Opportunities

Our collaborative youth ministry in June 2024 returned from a weekend mission trip hosted by Repair and Replenish Retreat Missions in the Lake George / Adirondack region of New York. An outstanding experience was shared by all of helping a family in need and having time for renewal.

Special thanks to everyone who supported the Christmas Tree Pick Up event that we do each January in cooperation with the Scouts, which funds this summer mission trip.

Summer 2026

After speaking with some youth ministry parents, we have decided to partner once again with Repair and Replenish Retreat Missions. Our weekend mission trip will hopefully spark interest in doing a longer experience in the future. The mission trip will be open to teens who are completing grade 8 this year (rising 9th graders,  high school class of 2030).

This experience, of travel and serving others in need, will be combined with leadership development, community building, and prayer experiences. We are planning a great experience and have limited spaces for adult and teen participants!

We plan to depart in the early afternoon of Friday, June 26 and return Sunday, June 28.

Costs:
Adults attend free. Their time is priceless, and they are giving that.

Youth: $100 deposit, final payment due May 1:
Additional $100 if helped with Christmas Tree Pick Up event (Jan. 10, 2026)
Additional $200 if teen did not help with Christmas Tree Pick Up event (Jan. 10, 2026)

Families of teens interested in attending who have concerns about the costs should speak with Tony Carbrello, Coordinator of Youth Ministry, for Fr. David O'Leary, Pastor.
