​ ​​​In the Concord-Carlisle Catholic Collaborative, we are doing all we can to establish a safe environment.  This includes having all our adult volunteers trained in the Protecting God’s Children (Virtus) program.  This one-time training will provide useful information to protect our children and vulnerable adults by equipping those trained to establish safe environments, raise participants’ awareness of the signs of abuse, and what responsibilities an adult volunteer for the Church may have legally as a mandated reporter.

You may attend a Virtus training in our community or attend a training at another location if it is more convenient for your schedule. Please notify a member of our staff when you have completed this training, so we may update our records. You may bring a copy of your training certificate or send it by email.

Currently, the Archdiocese of Boston offers trainings at various locations, but it must be a live, in-person training rather than an online training, to provide appropriate pastoral care for those completing the training.

1. Go to the Virtus website

2. Choose First Time Registrant (on the left side) to get started

3. For organization, choose Archdiocese of Boston.

You will see a schedule of available training opportunities throughout the Archdiocese of Boston.

Certificates for Completing the Training

If you have completed the training in the past, you should be able to to obtain a copy of your training certificate through the Virtus website. Use the button on this page, and either login or create an account.
