“Bringing faith to life—one conversation, one connection, one cup of coffee at a time.”
Hello! I’m Roberto Mercado, and I’m grateful to serve as the Coordinator of Parish Life for the Concord-Carlisle Catholic Collaborative.
My journey to parish ministry has included work in faith-based communities, nonprofit organizations, and government, always grounded in a desire to serve others with compassion and purpose. I hold a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and a Master of Public Administration (MPA)—a combination that has helped shape both my pastoral approach to ministry and my commitment to thoughtful, effective parish leadership. You could say I appreciate a good spreadsheet almost as much as a good homily!
As a bilingual Spanish-English professional with a working knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL), I value the many different ways we communicate, connect, and create a sense of belonging. With experience in ministry, community outreach, administration, and workforce development, I am passionate about helping people feel seen, heard, welcomed, and valued—whether they are visiting for the first time or have called our parishes home for decades.
In my role, I have the privilege of supporting many aspects of parish life and helping build connections among our parishioners, ministries, staff, clergy, and wider community. Whether through parish events, ministries, formation opportunities, or simply a conversation after Mass, I believe that every encounter can be an opportunity to bring us closer to Christ and to one another.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and finding new ways to connect faith with everyday life.
Please feel free to reach out or stop by and say hello. I am always happy to listen, answer a question, or simply share a cup of coffee. I look forward to walking together as we continue building a vibrant, welcoming, and faith-filled Collaborative where all can find a place to belong.
